Rod Stewart headline the Mission Concert again on forthcoming year

Rocking Rod Stewart headline the Mission Concert again on forthcoming year.

In 2005 Stewart was the star act in the Hawke's Bay event and his last concert sold out in half an hour - 22 minutes, a record time for the event.

The legendary English singer, former husband of Kiwi supermodel Rachel Hunter, has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide.

His belt out hits like a raspy singing voice Maggie May, Tonight's the Night and his trademark Do Ya Think I'm Sexy.

At 66 years old, that may be a fairly easy question to answer, but Elton John describes him as the "best singer in rock n roll".

Mission Estate CEO Peter Holley said in a statement announcing the Mission act overnight: "His legions of Kiwi fans have told us how much they enjoyed his concert back in 2005 and we are in no doubt that they will continue their love affair with Rod next year."
