Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart and his wife model photographer Penny Lancaster is expecting a second child, on Monday Stewart's spokeswoman said.
Alastair Wallace is 4 years old the couple's first child.
"We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy's 40th Birthday," the couple said in a statement.
The couple's celebrated their third wedding anniversary in June Stewart, 65, and 39 years old Lancaster.
The "Maggie May" singer had two children in his first marriage to Alana Hamilton, one child with Kelly Emberg, and another two kids with former wife Rachel Hunter.

Rod Stewart: Offers troops free tickets

Rock Star Rod Stewart is showing his support for the charity Tickets For Troops by offering free tickets for his summer tour to members of the Armed Forces and their families, it has been announced.
Soldiers, sailors, airmen and their families will have the opportunity to look the legendary hitmaker belting out chart toppers like Maggie May, Do Ya Think I'm Sexy and Tonight's the Night at the Sheffield Arena on July 20 and at the Glasgow SECC on July 26.
Tickets For Troops was set up last year to provide top tickets to sporting, musical and entertainment events to troops and their families.
Patrons of charity include the Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron, Dame Vera Lynn, Andrew Flintoff, Gavin Hastings and Joss Stone.
Mrs Cameron said: "Tickets For Troops has been a massive success in terms of recognising the work and courage of our troops but it has also rewarded those families whose support and love is crucial in the frontline.
"I am delighted and privileged to support such an excellent cause."

Rod Stewart looks in top condition as he holidays on a luxury yacht in the South of France with his wife, Penny Lancaster and their son, Alastair.
The singer 65 year old, who keeps in shape by playing in a senior football league near his home in Palos Verdes, California, cut a trim figure in his white shorts and shirt.
Stewart, Lancaster and their four year old son took a break from sailing for a few hours yesterday, hopping aboard a dinghy and heading to shore for a few hours walkaround.

The family explored the sights of La Colle Sur Loup, which was a seigneury in the 16th century and formerly a medieval community and strong hold of Guadelet.
There's plenty of sights to look, the town still retains it's ancient castle as well as a 12th century priory that has now been converted into a restaurant, quaint shopping streets and old narrow alleyways leading to shady little squares.
Stewart and Lancaster, 39, married on June 16 2007 aboard a yacht moored in the Italian port of Portofino, two years after their son was born.

The ageing rocker has seven children and has been married three times in total, previously to Alana Hamilton and Rachel Hunter.
The former gravedigger and Brentwood FC apprentice, discovered by Ronnie Wood on a train station, has come a long way since those early days, enjoying a slew of hits over his 30 year career.
Stewart has sold over 130million records worldwide and is one of the best selling British artists of all time.
He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May 2000, instantly undergoing surgery. Stewart's famous gravely voice was threatened and he had to re learn how to sing.
Stewart is now active in raising funds for the City Of Hope Foundation to find cures for all forms of cancer, particularly affecting children.

Ronnie Wood: 'Rod Stewart isn't ruled out of Faces reunion'

Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood has said that the band "haven't ruled out" getting original frontman Rod Stewart to play with them again.
The reuniting band have recruited Simply Red's Mick Hucknall as a replacement for Stewart, and are set to play the Sussex Vintage At Goodwood festival (August 13-15).
Wood told NME that Stewart wasn't on board because of schedule clashes, but claimed they were on good terms and he may join them in the future. Stewart in fact told fans at his O2 Arena gig last week (May 29) to give the Simply Red man "a chance" if they went to see the band live.
"We haven't ruled Rod out," he said. "It's just that his schedule is totally crossing over exactly when we wanted him. We've got Mick Hucknall because his voice is just like Rod's was in the '70s."
He added: "The door's not closed to Rod, but we're carrying on because it's worth it."
The guitarist said that the band may tour in January and hoped to play Glastonbury and other festivals in 2011.

Watching the swaying, singing audience at the O2 arena, it struck me that Rod Stewart would make the greatest wedding singer of all time. He’s a genial entertainer with a great set of pipes who gives the audience exactly what they want: the hits, some standards, a bit of soul, disco, rock ’n’ roll, romantic ballads and arms-linked singalongs. There’s even cheeky banter and interval time built in for toilet breaks.

“Is there anyone here from Essex?” Stewart asks, with a wink, before strapping 6ft-plus English model Penny Lancaster appears on stage in a red mini- dress, grinning and dancing rather gormlessly to his lively version of the Sam Cook classic Twisting the Night Away. “That’s the wife,” quips Stewart. “I actually told her to stay in the van.” And where else but at a wedding or a Rod Stewart concert could you expect to see a 65-year-old man with his jacket off, shirt tails hanging out, shaking his bony behind beneath a glitterball and asking if we think he’s sexy?

After 30 years as a world- beating superstar, Stewart knows how to put on a show. There is nothing cool about him any more, if there ever was.

The stage is so bright and clean, it is like a Sixties set from American Bandstand blown up for The X Factor, and the versatile band are constrained in tight suits, with backing vocalists in matching sexy mini-dresses. It looks and feels like a cheesy review show, not dissimilar to the kind of thing Cliff Richard puts on, although there is a time those two would have been at the opposite ends of the rock spectrum. The thing that raises the bar is Stewart himself. His hoarse, soulful voice has always been a distinctive instrument: there’s sensitivity in his delivery and there’s a way that he closes his eyes and delicately sways when he sings that suggests he still gets lost in these songs.

And what songs. His voice always sounded old; now when he sings Handbags and Gladrags he really could be the disappointed grandfather reprimanding his wayward granddaughter. After all these years, and all these hits, and all the albums of cover versions, there’s never a dull or self-indulgent moment. The 20,000-plus audience belt out his classics with him, and when he leads them through a mass choral version of Sailing, it is impossible not to be swept overboard.

The Faces Set to Reunite Without Rod Stewart

The Faces will no longer wait for Rod Stewart to reunite, announcing on their website yesterday that three of the original members of the legendary British band — guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and keyboardist Ian McLagan — will team up with Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock. The group is set to perform as the Faces at this year's Vintage at Goodwood festival in England on August 13th. "It's exciting to be on this path again and I hope that the Faces fans are excited as we are," Wood said in a statement. "I'm just really looking forward to seeing them this summer — bring it on!"

As Rolling Stone previously reported, the Faces, without Stewart but with Hucknall and former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, reunited in October 2009 to perform at London's Royal Albert Hall. (Wyman, who will be replaced by Matlock, filled in for Faces bassist Ronnie Lane, who passed away in 1997.) In 2008, a Faces reunion with Stewart nearly took place: the group rehearsed to see if they "still remember[ed] the songs." But Stewart quickly quashed reunion talk by saying there would be no Faces concerts in 2009 as he was busy with other commitments. After the Royal Albert Hall gig, Wood, Jones and McLagan all expressed a desire to keep the reunion going, with or without Stewart.

"The timing is just right, we can feel the excitement and we cannot wait to be back on stage playing to a live audience again," Jones said in a statement. "It's going to be lots of fun." In an interview with the BBC, Wood also revealed that the band is in talks to bring special guests out on stage, including Noel Gallagher, Slash and the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson. "There's loads of people that have said, 'Please, let us sing with you.'" Wood said. The newly reunited crew is currently drawing up their schedule for a tour.

Cheeky Rod suddenly reached into Conan O'Brien's lap and gave him a playful squeeze while telling a story about groupies.Flustered O'Brien jumped up from behind his desk and shouted out: “Whoa! What the hell was that? You ran way up there!”

But giggling Rod didn't seem at all bothered and carried on with his story - moaning O'Brien had distracted him. He complained: “I've lost my thread now.”

And Rod even pretended to grab O'Brien again at the end of the show after he had performed.

Rod Steward 'Tonight's the night'

When Jason Blake declared “tonight’s the night," he wasn’t talking about a Rod Stewart song.
The Maple Leafs’ left winger hopes a new assignment some might call it a demotion will snap him and the team out of a scoring funk. “This team will pick you apart,” Wilson warned. “First and foremost, try and stay out of the penalty box. I don’t want to see that group of five stepping out there and lashing the puck around against the best penalty killing team, which obviously to this point we’re not.
“We have to be aware of who we are playing against. We can’t have all our eyes on Crosby and Malkin. Their defence likes to jump in.”
Vesa Toskala gets the start in goal for Toronto, with a opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of fans after an overtime loss to Montreal and poor start versus the Capitals led to Jonas Gustavsson playing ahead of him. Gustavsson is now on short term IR with a groin injury.
The Leafs were 3-1 against the Penguins last year, which led Wilson to recount a humourous tale from encountering Pittsburgh GM Ray Shero at the Team USA Olympic development camp meeting last summer.
“I kidded Ray whether Brian (Burke) and I get rings, too. By beating the Penguins, it was the last straw bychancely for (fired coach Michel Therrien). They made their coaching change and everything turned around. So I’m still waiting for my ring.”

Superstars Harbor Beach hosts Salute

HARBOR BEACH —In three years for the seventh time , a Salute to the Superstars concert was conducted in Harbor Beach. The concert gave tribute to three of this country’s legendary performers Shania Twain, Cher, and Rod Stewart.
Bringing life to Shania Twain, Kelly Smith gave an brillent tribute to the county singer. When one reads Smith’s credentials, it is no wonder that she is able to portray Twain. Her credits include working with Roy Clark, Wayne Newton, Jim Stafford and others.

The second outstanding performance was given by Mr. Art Reed. He performed a stellar tribute to the great Rod Stewart. Whether singing or talking to the audience, Reed never fell out of character. His voice and accent was remarkably close to the legendary Stewart.
Last, but certainly not least, was a tribute to Cher. The salute to her was specially noteworthy because it was also performed by Kelly Smith. Totally changed in character and vocal pattern, Smith sang several of Cher’s hits from the 1970s to present day. From the long black hair to the gravel voice, Kelly Smith was ‘right on’ in this spectacular impersonation of this renown story.
Cher/Kelly took time out after the concert to mingle with the audience. She shook hands, posed for individual footages and talked to anyone who stayed afterward. She was an obvious hit with Steve McHugh (above right), one of several people to stay after the show to have a photograph taken with her.
According to Al Kleinknecht, this concert series began 3-4 years ago.
“It started by daydreaming,” he said.
While attending a local wedding, he was highly impressed by a Frank Sinatra impersonator. Kleinknecht, head of the Harbor Beach Maritime Festival Committee, thought the use of impersonators may be a good way to generate funds for the summer festival.
After researching tribute performers, Kleinknecht gathered a pair of volunteers. And, as they say on television, “the rest is history.”
Of course, it wasn’t quite that simple. But after a lot of hard work, it did turn out to be remunerative.
Five concerts have been held to benefit the Maritime Festival.
Two were conducted to benefit American soldiers who have ties with the Harbor Beach area.
And, according to Kleinknecht, over $10,000 has been raised.

The rock offspring has been in the spotlight as he tries to beat his alcohol addiction in front of millions of TV viewers, and even appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew last year (08).The 29 year old reportedly managed to quit booze, but insiders claim he currently relapsed after over a year sober.Now, he faces disappointing his famous father again after crashing his luxury car on Sunset Blvd in the afternoon. He walked away from the vehicle unscathed claiming that the crash was 'the car's fault, it was a malfunction', according to TMZ.com.

Take beach holiday in California to Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster

Rod lives in Essex, but spends a good deal of time in the US and while over there he’s been taking the family, including Penny’s mum, down to the beach.
The Daily Mail reports that the group were very sun conscious, providing their son, Alistair, with good deal of shade and remaining covered themselves with sun hats and reasonable clothing on.
They were spotted at Paradise Cove, which is a private beach in Malibu. Malibu, in California, is a reach of coastline well known for the quality of its beaches and for being a hangout for the rich and famous.

X Factor, Tragedy-hit hopeful

A man who missed out on last year's X Factor because of a family catastrophe will finally get a chance to wow Simon Cowell and the other judges on this week's show.
Daryl Markham missed last year's audition to be his brother's best man, only to see him diagnosed with lung cancer soon after and die six weeks later.
Viewers of tomorrow night's show, the second in the new series, will see the 40 year old carpenter from East Sussex fight back emotions to perform Rod Stewart ballad I Don't need To Talk About It.
Daryl told judge Simon Cowell: "I utilized to come on last year but it was my brother's wedding, but unluckily shortly after his wedding he was diagnosed with lung cancer and six weeks later he passed away.
"Me and my brother were inseparable, we did everything together, he was my best friend. Only six weeks after being told, he died, he was only 37."
Daryl said he had worked as a carpenter for 24 years, sharing a business with his brother, but had always dreamed of being a singer.
"I promised my brother I'd look after his young nine year old boy Kian, he's a very bright young boy but goes back into himself... We all have to be strong for him, that's why I'm here today, to make him gallant."

ROD STEWART's worried son SEAN has werkened after a year long battle to stay sober, according to U.S. reports.The validity TV star and celebrity DJ fought his alcohol addiction in front of millions of TV viewers when he appeared on season two of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew last year (08). Stewart, 29, had reportedly managed to quit booze for good following several unsuccessful effort at rehab prior to the show. He sparked fresh fears for his health in current weeks after he was seen partying in California and new reports advise Stewart is back on the bottle. A source tells the New York Post, "He is drinking again and has lost everyone's trust. He's been discontinued by his publicist and manager." Sean Stewart's former person who communicates for another has declined to comment.

Rod Stewart to Cancel gig

Legendary singer/songwriter Rod Stewart has a injure throat infection, RadarOnline.com can reveal merrely, that has pressured him to cancel several U.S. gig dates.
"Rod Stewart has a throat infection and went to the doctor who decreed antibiotics and 4 days of complete vocal rest. Ignoring the doctor's advice, he efforted to go through his ordinary warm ups yesterday but it was excluded," Stewart's rep tells us.
"Particularly frustrating, is that he had to cancel the last show of a 16 date run."
Tulsa, OK residents were disappointed on Thursday when the last minute repeal came through.
Also cancelled are shows slated for Saturday evening in Burgettstown, Pa. and the final scheduled gig in Virginia Beach, Va. on Sunday, August 22.

Tulsa, OK Thousands of fans paid excellent money to hear Rod Stewart at the BOK Center Thursday night. But just hours before the show, it was canceled because he's bad and it won't be rescheduled.The turn of accident left Green Country fans very disappointed.Shelia West had some very big plans.

"Two days vacation from Rogers, Arkansas. It's our 31st wedding anniversary," explains West.So did Nancy and Val Saamer."We work 24/7. This was going to be the big affair," says Nancy.But everything fell apart after the Rod Stewart gig was canceled only hours before show time. And soon after the report began to fly that the gig was canceled not because of sickness but because of low ticket sales. We checked it out and discovered that is probably not the case.In fact, Stewart canceled not only at the BOK Center tonight, but also several additional gig next week, including one in Virginia Beach and another outside of Pittsburgh. "It happens a whole lot more frequently than people accomplish in all sorts of market for all sorts of reasons," explains Gary Hizer, Music Editor for Urban Tulsa Weekly. "There's going to be a level of frustration, definite frustration involved."But the night must go on even if the show didn't.Sheila West says they "decided to spend the night. Make the best of it; drown our trouble."The Saamers say, "We don't get out much anymore. It was moving to plan a night in downtown Tulsa."The BOK Center is tendering full rebate, but you must have the credit card used to buy tickets. That means if you bought tickets on "Craig's List," you may not be able to get your money back.

Rod Stewart Veteran rocker puts on a nostalgia show

A very breakable and aged-looking woman riding home on the light rail train from Rod Stewart's all famous show Tuesday at Target Center said she has been going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's concerts since she was a young woman. And she added that she and Stewart are the same age, both 64.

"He's aged," she said sadly. "He doesn't move like he used to."

But then she smiled with a hint of wicked nostalgia. "But he moves a lot much better than I do," she said.

During his 90 minute show, Stewart sweated through three costume changes, strutted and twitched, wriggled a still lean fanny that could breath in shrieks and proved his late 40 something audience (the average age, possibly) that they were going to get a good show.

And they did. The crowd turning out for Stewart's concerts know all the songs and sing along to most of the lyrics. Stewart's music has been part of their lives and has underline memories. The fans come primed for a love fest.

And it's artfully managed, with nostalgic psychedelic visuals projected on a biggest screen, a trio of Motown like backup singers, a voluptuous blond female sax player and a backup band of top tier rocker talent.

Stewart's instantly recognized singing voice has diminished power, and it was obvious during Tuesday's agreement that he rations it. The backup performers pushed the songs, sometimes obliterating Stewart's trademark rasp, then backing off for a well known construction. You got the feeling the person operating the sound mixing equipment was following a script.
No matter. This wasn't an interpretive performance by the man once considered rock's best interpretive singer. This was a celebratory review of an era.

The songs, starting with "Some Guys Have All the Luck," included "It's a Heartache," "Forever Young," "Downtown Train," "The First Cut Is the Deepest," "Rhythm of My Heart," "Tonight's the Night," "Having a Party," "Have I Told You Lately," "You're in my Heart" and many others including an encore of "Maggie May," with whole sections sung a cappella by the conference.

Perhaps inevitably, not all the memories arouse by the songs were wonderful. To this listener, for agency, Stewart's upbeat appearance of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" brought back memories of the Vietnam War. Give me the Creedence Clearwater Revival account.

Of course, Stewart didn't sing all the hits; officially, there are more than 60 of them. I heard a few conference members yearning for "You Wear It Well" or "Infatuation." You can't have them all.

But Stewart did kick soccer balls,not problem at all lofting them high in the air more than halfway across the Target Center floor. What legs.
